floral patterns together, just be careful not to overdue it.

o Do consider using a combination of materials and metals. For instance,
combinations of glass, chrome, stainless, wood, platinum, or leather in certain

contemporary pieces. When done right it will complement your modern décor.

o Don’t overdo the use of photographs in decorating. One or two family photos in
each room are sufficient. Use contemporary frames and place on small nightstands
or an armoire to add a personal touch.

o Don’t feel pressured to decorate your home the way everyone else does. If you
want to paint your living room walls pink more power to you. A dusty rose is a
very beautiful shade to consider using to enhance a room.

o Don’t overcrowd your rooms with furniture. You want the rooms to feel spacious
and a place where you can feel relaxed and not closed in. Besides, if you have
young children in the home you would not want them or your furniture to get
harmed.
